Domains must be renewed annually. After expiration, a domain goes through several stages: grace period, redemption, deletion. The sooner you renew, the easier and cheaper the recovery.
Applies to:
✔ All domains
| Stage | Timeframe | What happens |
| Grace period | 0-30 days | Domain stops working (website and email unavailable). Can be renewed at standard price |
| Redemption | 30-60 days | Domain is locked by the registrar. Recovery is possible but at a higher price |
| Pending Delete | 60-75 days | Domain is pending deletion. Recovery is not possible |
| Deletion | after 75 days | Domain is released and available for anyone to register |
Timeframes may vary depending on the domain zone (.com, .ru, .net, etc.). For the .ru zone, the grace period is 30 days.
If the domain is registered through your client panel:
Check in your client panel whether auto-renewal is enabled. If your account has sufficient balance, the domain will be renewed automatically.
Expiration notifications are sent to the email address on file. Make sure your email is up to date.
During grace period: renew the domain through the client panel at the standard price.
During redemption: contact support. Recovery takes longer and costs more.
After deletion: register the domain again (if it has not been taken by someone else).
After renewal, check the domain status:
whois example.com | grep -i "expir"
The expiration date should be updated.
Verify that the website and DNS are working:
dig example.com +short
If the domain is in redemption status and urgent recovery is needed, open a support ticket.
